Dear Parents,

I am looking forward to having your child in my class this year!! Please feel free to call or come by any time to check on your child’s progress. The school number is 843-264-3419 and my cell number is 843-485-1780. The following information will help you keep up with a few of the weekly activities that we will have and supplies that your child will need to be successful in his/her work.

** Weekly spelling and vocabulary test will be on Friday. Students will have spelling words stapled in homework folder and are to keep vocabulary words in homework folder pocket each week. Daily assignments will be given to your child to help prepare for the test.

** There will be reading assignments given: maybe from take home books, reading textbook and/or Social Studies Cold Reads/textbooks/weekly readers, etc. Please try to listen to your child read for at least 15 minutes “out loud” every day.

** States/Capitals test every Thursday. Students will have a red folder that is to go home to study and to return to school to put new notes daily!!

** Yellow folder will have Social Studies notes to study and please make sure they are returned daily for new notes!! Test dates will be written in agenda book.

**Homework assignments will be noted in the agenda book. Each student should have a homework folder with daily assignments placed in them-return daily.

**Thursday folders are to ALWAYS be signed and returned the next day!!
