Bio

Hi! I am one of the art teachers at AES. I started my teaching career here four years ago and I have enjoyed being able to share my passion with the students, parents, faculty and the community. I decided to become a teacher while in college majoring in graphic design. Quickly, I realized my heart was drawn to children and this is where I needed to be. My mission is to provide and expose students to creative experiences, create fun projects and help children appreciate the arts. Students will have opportunities to explore a variety of artists, media, techniques, and processes. while in my art room. My favorite thing about teaching is being able to see students progress and share what they have learned from being in art.

I have a BS in Art Education from Francis Marion University. I also have a M.ED in Instructional Technology from Coastal Carolina University. What's Next? Who knows.....

I spend a lot of my free time with my family, husband, and two awesome boys. I love to travel (when able), coffee shops, good music, painting, drafting up new projects and ideas, sitting on screened porches, and reading a good book or article.

Parents are always welcomed in the art room to visit and see what's been going on.
